We were delighted to exhibit at the annual ICHN (Institute of Community Health Nursing) Conference in Dublin recently which was very well attended by community nursing staff from around the country.
The ICHN is a representative organisation aimed at promoting community nursing services in Ireland and this years theme was ‘Community Nursing: Towards an integrated Model of Care’
We met with a host of HSE Nursing Staff who were very engaging and always looking for the best products and service for patients in their community. Platforms like the ICNH Conference are a great way to build and also maintain relatipships with people and also showcase the best O’Flynn Medical has to offer.
We were delighted to exhibit at this years Pregnancy and Baby fair with the AMEDA Breast Pump range all thanks to Marie Burke and Lorraine Behan Walsh who both work in our Sales and Marketing Department. This event is Ireland’s biggest, best and only exhibition covering all things pregnancy & baby related with some of the worlds biggest baby brands all under one roof.
A fantastic event that had ‘mums and dads’ and ‘parents to be’ queuing up from very early in the morning before the doors opened at 10am. Over 15,000 people passed through the doors over the 2 days.
We really enjoyed the event where we mostly met with expectant Mums and Dads and were delighted to help in anyway we could with information and advise on the AMEDA Breast Pump range.
We also held a raffle for a luxurious hamper containing some fantastic goodies, chocolate and an AMEDA Lactaline Breast Pump and would like to congratulate Sinead Murphy, from Old Parish in Dungarvan who was the lucky winner. Congratulations Sinead and every good wish for your journey ahead.
If you would like any further information on our breast pumps, please contact us on 029-21799 or visit our website

A 5km/10km run/walk took place on Sunday 19th March 2017 at 2.00pm at Top of Coom and all in aid of the NeoNatal Unit at Cork University Maternity Hospital (CUMH).
The brainchild of Abby O’Connell from Ballyvourney, this phenomenal lady gave birth to premature twins on 25th February 2016 at just 28 weeks.
A beautiful baby boy and girl named Gerard and Abimay, they spent 13 weeks in the neonatal unit in the CUMH where she described the care her twins received as nothing short of exceptional.
Abby, her partner and family had full trust in the staff from day one and most especially when they weren’t with their babies.
O’Flynn Medical were also delighted to come on board and supply Abby with the AMEDA Elite Hospital grade breast pump for 6 months to ensure she was able to give her babies the best of breast milk. It was so important for Abby to provide her breast milk to both babies at each feed and due to them being so small, it allowed her to see exactly how much milk she was pumping for both. This was hugely important to monitor for weight gain.
12 months later her beautiful twins are thriving having recently celebrated their 1st birthday and now she wants to give back.
A fantastic crowd turned out on the day raising over €9000 and Abby and her family would like to purchase some vital equipment for the Neo Natal Unit.
Congratulations to everyone involved, a fantastic achievement and well done !!!
